I was catching up on missed posts at DogHouse Diaries (via Facebook) when I ran into a link they posted to a cognitive sciences blog. Sadly, though they’d had a good five-year run with the blog, they moved on to other things in January of this year.
Best wishes to them, I just wish I’d found the place while it was still “buzzing”…
My better half is a journalist at Digital Journal. I happen to think she’s very good and the staff seem to agree. She’s been selected to help cover the Oscars this year and has been catching up on any hot contenders we didn’t get around to seeing when they first hit the theatres. So we’ve been glued to the screen the past couple of days watching the likeliest candidates for Oscar gold.
I won’t bore you with my amateur impressions of the movies themselves except to say I’ve been impressed with the work I’ve seen. I’ve enjoyed watching KJ watch the movies then leap to the keyboard to record her reviews. I haven’t been a big fan of awards shows in the past, but I expect to get thoroughly caught up in the Oscars this Sunday.
